ABOUT

Dr J Cooper, DC

I get great satisfaction in relieving patient complaints when they have given up on getting help or have been told they will have to 'live with' the symptoms they are experiencing.

A couple other personal goals of mine are being able to help patients with nontraditional complaints and educating patients about the science of how their body works and how chiropractic can help them achieve and maintain homeostasis.

What I mean by nontraditional complaints is - a complaint that is not normally associated with a chiropractic doctor. I don't know how many patients we have saved from unnecessary surgeries of the TMJ or knee because they sought help for a neck or back complaint and ended up getting another complaint resolved also.

What does it take to be a doctor of chiropractic?

Most people do not know this, but a chiropractic doctor has more classroom hours than a medical doctor. The difference comes with the chiropractors emphasis on orthopedic and neurological study and our utter lack of training in pharmacology. The reason for this is that the chiropractic philosophy embraces the belief that healing starts from within. Restore the body to normal function and it will heal itself.

For all musculoskeletal complaints, the chiropractic doctor is the true gate keeper.
